About Randy Bretzin

Often employing disparate elements, Randy Bretzin re-examines the surface of things by manipulating (and sometimes threatening) contextual valuation, assumptions, and hierarchies. Much of his conceptual focus considers the body; its capability and limitations, and the relationship with contemporary image-making.  Trained as a printmaker, his work is often informed by the labor of process-based modes of making.

Randy received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, and his MA from The Royal College of Art, in London UK. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
